Carmelinda Scian

Carmelinda Scian, a Luso-Canadian author and academic, smiles warmly in a casual portrait.

Carmelinda immigrated to Canada from Portugal along with her parents in the late 1960’s.  She has an Honours BA and an English MA from the University of Toronto.  She loves reading, theatre, film, ballet, traveling, and cycling. Her worldly concerns are:  global warming;  poverty; and, issues of fairness and justice.  She has two sons, and lives in Toronto.
